‘Women Of the Movement’: Chris Coy, Julia McDermott & Carter Jenkins Join ABC Limited Series

EXCLUSIVE: David Magidoff (The Morning Show) has been added to the cast of Showtime’s Dexter revival set in the upstate New York town of Iron Lake.

Jaime Ray Newman (Little Fires Everywhere), Andrea Frankle (Irresistible) and Will Chase (Nashville) are set for recurring roles in Dopesick, Hulu’s eight-episode limited series based on Beth Macy’s bestselling book. The project is from The Handmaid’s Tale executive producer Warren Littlefield and Touchstone Television.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterJamie Dornan has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming limited series “The Tourist.” In addition, HBO Max has boarded the project and will co-produce along with Two Brothers Pictures as well as serve as the show’s streaming home in the U.S.Alongside Dornan, the six-episode series will star Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Hugo Weaving. Filming is set to begin soon in Australia.

Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto is set to star in and executive produce Spy Princess, a limited series based on Shrabani Basu’s Spy Princess: The Life of Noor Inayat Khan, the definitive biography of Noor’s life, from writer Olivia Hetreed (Girl With a Pearl Earring) and Red Room Films.

EXCLUSIVE: ABC’s Women of the Movement has assembled a team of four Black female directors for the first installment of the potential anthology that celebrates the women of the civil rights movement.
