A woman has divided opinion on social media after sharing that she only showers once a week.
Reina, who uploads to the platform TikTok as @reindrrop, went viral with a video outlining four reasons for her peculiar hygiene habits.
The clip has been viewed nearly 3 million times and Reina has also addressed her partner's feelings on having a spouse who rarely washes, Hull Live writes.
She explained in comments: "I get the question, why? And I stick by my original answer to this comment. I just don't like it.
“But I figured I could try to provide a little more insight into why I don't like it. Reason one, the time commitment from warming the water up, getting into the shower, doing all of the necessary shower things, to getting out of the shower, to drying, to waiting for my hair to dry.
"Reason two, wet hair. I hate the feeling of wet hair and no I can't do the hairdryers because I hate the sound of the hairdryer.
"Reason three, skin issues. Since I started showering less, keep in mind, I was never an everyday showerer since like middle school maybe.
"Anyway my eczema, my dry scalp. All my skin is [sic] better and reason four, it's not wasteful both with water and products."
Several social media users responded with questions about her husband's take on her routine. Reina responded: "My whole husband. No, I mean like does he mind it enough to get the government involved to separate us? I hope not."
TikTok users are still divided on the issue with some offering their support. However, others questioned why she did not shower after going to the gym.
One commenter said: "Good for you! People in the comments acting like people don’t have sensory issues and stuff, not everyone’s norm is the same."
