There are some chores that nearly everyone dreads, with the oven deep clean often topping that list.
It's grimy, awkward work and more often than not it feels like no matter how much scrubbing you do you just can't get it as clean as you would like it to be.
However, a woman who posts on TikTok as @mama_mila_ shared a video demonstrating an easy method that leaves your oven trays 'sparkling' without tough scrubbing.
As reported by the Mirror, Chantel explained: "If you're like me and hate cleaning oven racks then this hack will save you so much scrubbing. Lay an old towel down in your bathtub and soak your oven racks in hot water.
"Add one scoop of laundry powder and leave to soak it overnight. In the morning, the burn or mess just flakes off with a wipe and you're left with shining oven racks."
To avoid getting your bathtub dirty, she advises people to line the bottom of their bath with a dirty towel to catch any mess or flakiness.
Captioning the post, she added: "The trick to cleaning your oven racks without heavy scrubbing. This trick saves so much time - just make sure to line your bathtub with an old towel to avoid your bathtub getting dirty."
The cleaning hack has received 25,000 views as well as hundreds of likes from impressed TikTok users. Taking to the comment section, one user asked: "why the towel?" to which another commenter answered: "so you don't scratch the tub with those racks."
A third person wrote: "Necessary - need to do this after the holidays!"
