But when the makeup artist checked online to see the results, she says she couldn’t believe just how unlucky she had been.
In a peculiar twist of fate, each of the winning numbers were exactly one above Nicole’s set of numbers.
Nicole’s numbers were 02, 11, 19, 38, 43 with the ‘life ball’ 06, while the winning numbers were 03, 12, 20, 39, 44 with the ‘life ball’ 06.
Nicole, says the discovery left her “manically laughing and crying,” adding: “It was my second time playing,
“I actually played with two sets of numbers, the second set of numbers I wasn’t initially going to buy, but on a whim I just put in random numbers I liked. Those were the ones that were one off which makes it bizarre to me.
“I looked at the numbers at first and was like, whatever, but then I saw that the first and second numbers were close. Then I realised they were all one above the number.
“I started manically laughing and crying. I thought it was so tragically funny.
