A woman has appeared in court accused of murder following an incident at a home in Aberdeen which led to the death of a 'beloved' Scots mum.
Dionne Wilson was in the dock on April 18 during a petition hearing at the Aberdeen Sheriff Court where she faced allegations of murder after Sara Irvine, 34, was discovered seriously injured on Wednesday, April 17 but died later in hospital.
Wilson, whose address was given as Aberdeen, made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
The 30-year-old accused was remanded in custody and is due to make a further appearance at the city court within eight days.
Sara's devastated family have been left heartbroken following the incident. Her sister Sophie paid tribute on social media by posting a picture of the pair together.
Sophie said: "I can’t believe I’ve just heard you’ve passed away. You were my best sister in the world we were so close and had so many memories.
"I’m lost broken I’ve no words it’s not even registered in my brain. RIP till we see each other again."
In a later post, Sophie added: "Sara Irvine. You updated your profile a day ago. Wow, I'm so shocked I’ve no idea what I'm thinking or what to do I'm so broken and lost."
Sara had a teenage son and other heartbroken loved ones paid tribute on social media following the news.
Sueanna Stronach said: "I remember her behind pregnant and wanting strawberry tarts on sausage rolls. [That] was her craving. She lit up a room that lass. Sophie should be proud to know her sister was a role model to 100s of us.
"Even those who never met her. She shone bright through every photo. She gave me encouragement even when I didn’t think she even knew how to encourage herself. She had it. She found it - and gave you it."
