Cops in Dumfries have carried out a nighttime raid on a flat in the Borders town, arresting a 24-year-old women on alleged drugs charges.
Officers in riot gear stormed the residence in the vicinity of Terregles Street shortly after 7pm on Saturday March 5.
They used a door ram to force entry into the town centre flat before retrieving a quantity of what cops alleged were class A drugs.
A woman was also charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to Scots prosecutors.
Local officers from the Nithsdale area shared an image of the raid in progress on social media - in a warning to would-be drug dealers.
Posting on Twitter, they said: "Drug Search Warrant carried out by #Dumfries Town Centre Community Officers last night & a quantity of Class A drugs recovered.
"A female will now be reported to the PF [Procurator Fiscal].
"Targeting those involved in drug misuse is a Divisional Priority."
Senior cops confirmed a woman had been charged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers executed a warrant in the Terregles Street area of Dumfries around 7.05pm on Saturday, 5 March. A quantity of drugs were recovered.
“A 24-year-old woman has been charged in connection with drugs offences and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
