Many of us will be able to relate to the frustration of living next to a noisy neighbour, especially one who expects everyone else around them to abide by etiquette rules that they choose to ignore, the Mirror reports. Neighbours are not always going to see eye to eye and in some cases you can find a whole street where everyone disagrees over who is in the wrong when it comes to disputes.
One woman took to Reddit to share her family's 'revenge' on a noisy nightmare neighbour but was met with criticism from other commenters who told her that her family were the ones in the wrong. The tension came about after a resident complained about some of the children in their neighbourhood which is 'similar to a HOA'
In the post, the author explained that her mum and siblings live in a family-friendly neighbourhood with its own designated representative. The problems began when someone complained to a rep about a group of young local boys who play out on the street together which included the writer's nine-year-old brother.
She wrote: " On a Thursday the rep calls my mom to tell her that someone complained that the kids were being too loud and it was too late for them to be alone outside. Mind you it was like 7:30pm, they don't have school the next day, the street is pretty illuminated and has cameras basically on every light post."
Initially, the rep didn't name the complainant but the family believe she dropped a very obvious clue as to who it was in a conversation she had with the family. The post explained: "Later on, rep was chit-chatting with my grandma and said her nephew (who lives a few houses from my mum's) was having trouble with work because 'there's too much noise outside', so mum knew that he was the one complaining.
