A woman understood to have been slashed with a bottle was found injured in Piccadilly Gardens today.
The 40-year-old was rushed to hospital with an injury to her forearm.
Police described her injuries as 'non life-threatening'.
Enquiries are continuing, but Greater Manchester Police said they believed her injury was caused by a glass bottle.
A man aged in his 20s has been arrested.
