Prince William and Princess Kate has shared a heartfelt message in the wake of the appalling Sydney shopping centre attack.
The royal couple shared their sentiments after the dreadful incident at Sydney's Westfield shopping centre in Bondi Junction. The statement follows shocking news that a man armed with a knife had unleashed terror inside the mall.
Tragically, six individuals lost their lives, and several others sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving hospital treatment, including a nine-month-old infant.
The assailant was fatally shot by a police officer who pursued him into the shopping centre and commanded him to relinquish his weapon. In response to the initial reports, New South Wales Police announced a critical incident and proceeded to close the mall.
The tragic event has sparked an outpouring of support, with William and Kate extending their sympathies through a joint statement. In their heartfelt communication, which bears their initials and represents Kate's first public comment since her cancer diagnosis, was disclosed last month they conveyed their dismay at the events and honoured the bravery of the emergency services.
