Will Smith is reportedly working on an apology to Oscars bosses after he slapped Chris Rock during last week’s ceremony.The 53 year old actor reacted to a joke made by the comedian about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith’s shaved head.The star climbed on stage to hit the comedian after seeing that his wife, who has alopecia, was upset by the joke and then yelled out: “'Keep my wife's name out your f***ing mouth”.The Academy Awards recently revealed they would be launching a formal review around the incident after releasing a statement following the incident. Now, a source claims that Will is planning to formally apologise to award bosses, as they decide if any action will be taken against the star.

It comes after the star reportedly resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences following backlash for slapping Chris Rock on-stage at the 94th Oscars on Sunday 27 March. The 53 year old actor, whose wife Jada Pinkett Smith recently broke her silence following the ceremony, described his actions as 'shocking, painful and inexcusable' for his outburst during the star-studded evening and would accept any additional consequences from the Academy's Board of Governors.
