Bowen Yang has revealed a big update about the Wicked movies and gave fans a detail that they’ve been waiting to hear!
The 32-year-old actor, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, is playing the role of Glinda’s friend Pfannee.
During an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Monday (June 19), Bowen was asked about Dr. Dillamond and if the infamous goat would be in the movie.

Bowen confirmed that not only will Dillamond be in the movie, but the role will be played by a female actor and it seems the character will be CGI.
“The goat is staying, unfortunately. The goat is in. You’re going to love the goat,” Bowen said.
After being asked who plays the goat, Bowen said, “Right now it’s a lovely puppeteer. They’re going to cast her later, but right now it’s a puppeteer named Louisa and she’s been doing amazing line reads.”
Bowen added, “Yes, it’s movies plural and I truly, truly think it is for justifiable reasons that they are splitting it.”
The first Wicked movie is being released on November 27, 2024 and the second part will hit theaters on December 25, 2025.
