Shoppers might have noticed milk bottles with clear caps over the past few months as supermarkets have trialled a colour change.
They have done this because the new clear caps are easier to recycle compared to the current coloured ones. With some trials having already successfully come and gone, certain supermarkets have decided that they will implement clear caps permanently from now on.

As Aldi launched its trial last year, Plastics and Packaging Director Richard Gorman said: "By trialling clear milk caps we are making our milk bottles easier to recycle, so they can be turned back into new packaging."
Lidl announced that clear milk caps would replace the green ones used for own-brand semi-skimmed and organic fresh milk in 2022.
Scott Davey, Senior Buying Director at Lidl said: "We remain committed to supporting our customers in helping them make more sustainable shopping decisions on a daily basis. Customer feedback during the trial was overwhelmingly positive and we are thrilled to be making this change permanent across Lidl stores.

There is so much to appreciate about A.V. Rockwell’s A Thousand and One. The film chronicles the lives of native New Yorkers from 1994-2005, which was a period of transition in NYC. The atmosphere began to change, as stop and frisk was over-utilized, gentrification was displacing the people of Harlem at rapid speed, and the culture of the city gave way to sterilization. Now there are even fewer resources available, the wage gap is beyond repair and it’s unaffordable. Rockwell drew inspiration from this and created a coming-of-age story about finding an identity and chosen family.

By Resenteeism: The idea of staying in a job you are fundamentally unhappy in due to concerns of job security or a lack of better options, but then start to actively resent it and make everyone aware of that fact. Sound familiar? Probably because we all have been or know someone like that in the workplace.Resenteeism is the natural successor to “quiet quitting,” a term originally coined at a Texas A&M economics conference that simply breaks down to instead of going above and beyond to progress.
