Pep Guardiola is confident that Jack Grealish will enjoy a better second season with Manchester City than his first.
Grealish, a £100m signing last year, took time to adapt to Guardiola's demands, and saw his goals and assists output drop from his time at Aston Villa as a result.
However, he has looked bright in City's pre-season fixtures and should get more games this term after Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus have left the club. And Guardiola says he is more than happy with Grealish's first year in Blue, predicting that his goal of making England's World Cup squad will drive him to higher levels this season.

"The most important thing is Jack Grealish won the Premier League, he helped us win the Premier League, he did it. We were close, had the two chances that were unlucky, football destiny is like this. What I wanted from Jack, more and more impressed is how he's incredibly loved in locker room, he's so humble.
"Of course I want more, not just for Jack but everyone. He has to fight, we have a small squad, competition up front is so big. At the end dictates every player, not just Jack, one minute on the field, show me. As much good you play, the more chances you play minutes.
"We are optimistic because he arrives really well, he has the World Cup around the corner. Gareth [Southgate] has to make a good selection, there are many good players in the England men's team. Everybody knows what they have to do, not necessary to tell them."
Guardiola also reflected on City's summer transfer business, that has seen Sterling, Jesus, Aleks Zinchenko and Fernandinho leave, saying change is sometimes necessary — even if it may not have been planned.
