Andrew Buchan, who has starred in hit TV series such as The Crown and Better, has encountered a rocky few years. He was hit with drama when it was reported he had cheated on his Downton Abbey star wife Amy Nuttall and was said to have broken their seven marriage rules.
The actor, 45, hails from Stockport, Cheshire, and began his acting career in theatre before securing his first TV role in 2006 when he appeared as St. John Rivers in the mini-series Jane Eyre.
From there, he quickly built his name with roles in TV shows such as Party Animals, Cranford, The Fixer and Industry. His most notable TV appearances include playing the role of Mark Latimer in ITV's Broadchurch, Andrew Parker Bowles in Netflix's The Crown and as Matt Hancock in the TV show This England. Away from this, Andrew created and wrote the new ITV comedy-thriller series Passenger which launched last month.
Before this, he starred in the BBC series Better where he played the role of Col McHugh - this is where he is thought to have met the actress he allegedly had an affair with.
