Serbia has jumped to the defense of its countryman Milos Bikovic after Ukraine attacked HBO‘s decision to cast the Russian sympathizer in The White Lotus.

In 2019, the actor said he had been banned from entering Ukraine for national security reasons.HBO announced earlier this month that Biković would star in the third season of the White Lotus, prompting an immediate backlash from Ukrainian social media users.“Miloš Biković, Serbian actor who has been supporting Russia since the start of the full-scale invasion, is now set to star in HBO’s The White Lotus Season 3,” the Ukrainian foreign ministry wrote on X/Twitter on Wednesday.

Except that he’s running a death camp and overseeing the murder of thousands of Jews and whoever else the Nazis didn’t like. He also oversees a large family run by his equally striving and efficient wife, Hedwig (played by Sandra Hüller, who’s having a great year — catch her in “Anatomy of a Fall”).

Kate Aurthur administrator Carrie Coon — star of HBO’s “The Gilded Age” and “The Leftovers” — has joined the growing Season 3 cast of Mike White’s “The White Lotus,” HBO has announced. Earlier this week, the Emmy-winning HBO series added Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Michelle Monaghan and Tayme Thapthimthong. The whole gang joins Natasha Rothwell, whom Variety exclusively reported would reprise the role of Belinda in Season 3 back in April 2023.
