The Outlaws is back for a third season, but when will the new episodes be on TV?The Outlaws follows the lives of seven strangers from different backgrounds who are brought together to complete their sentences of community service in Bristol. However, when they stumble upon a bag of money belonging to a crime boss, the group find themselves being pulled even further into a life of unlawfulness.The first season aired in 2021, with its follow-up coming a year later.
It was created by Merchant alongside Elgin James, who had previously been in the Boston gang Friends Stand United.Merchant also stars in the show as Greg Dillard, a socially awkward lawyer who has just been through a divorce. He is joined in the show by Christopher Walken, who plays Frank Sheldon, a former conman, with Darren Boyd (Spy) and Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer) in supporting roles.Merchant confirmed that filming for season three had begun back in May 2023.
“The rumours are true. Delighted to confirm that #TheOutlaws Season 3 is now filming in Bristol,” he wrote on Instagram.
“What peril lies ahead for our merry band of lawbreakers? We can’t wait for you to find out.”Now, all five episodes of the completed season are available to stream on the BBC iPlayer in the UK. They were made available on May 30, the same day that the first episode aired on BBC One.
