Matthew Mason, 19, had struck up a relationship with 15-year-old Alex online, and soon began sending him explicit images before things turned sexual.
Fearful of being exposed, Mason, who had a girlfriend at the time, had paid Alex to keep quiet about their liaisons in the weeks leading up to his death.
