On the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, many people who spectated the event are asking: Why isn’t Prince Andrew wearing his uniform? 

Queen Elizabeth II's coffin has begun it's final journey to Windsor Castle. The coffin had been Lying-in-State in at Westminster Hall since last Thursday, but was taken in procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey on Monday morning, where Her Majesty's state funeral service took place.Following the funeral, the coffin traveled in procession from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch, and then to Windsor. Once there, the coffin was placed inside the State Hearse.

As the royal family said goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II as her casket was loaded into the hearse, Prince Harry notably did not join the salute.

She paired the meaningful accessories with a wide-brimmed hat, black cape dress and heels.

On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died “peacefully” at age 96 and Britain entered 10 days of mourning to honor her 70 years of service as the head of the monarchy. The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not. Tyson and Paris Fury headed to London and were seen paying their respects to the Queen following her death. The heavyweight champion and his wife were snapped outside Buckingham Palace where they laid flowers for the late monarch, who died last Thursday (September 8), aged 96.

Meghan Markle’s appearance on the cover of Variety as one of its "Power of Women" honorees will be postponed until a later date "out of respect" for Queen Elizabeth II following her death a week ago, the magazine tweeted Thursday.  "Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, was chosen as one of this year’s stellar honorees," the tweet said. "The Duchess’ cover will be postponed to a later date, out of respect for the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II." Variety said she would also miss the Power of Women gala in Los Angeles on Sept.

Queen Elizabeth II’s eight grandchildren will take part in a vigil to mark her life. The 96-year-old monarch - who died at Balmoral last week aged 96 - is to have her life and reign commemorated at a special ceremony attended by all her grandchildren; Prince William, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall, Peter Philips, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn at Westminster Hall on Saturday (17. 09.

Prince Andrew will be taking on a key role during his late mum Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on Monday 19 September.The Duke of York, 62, will once again march behind the late sovereign's coffin next week, a duty he upheld on Wednesday 14 September when the casket was moved from Buckingham Palace's Bow room to Westminster Hall – where she is currently lying-in-state to ensure the public have the opportunity to pay their respects. He's also been allowed to keep a prominent role within the Royal Family since his brother, 73, ascended to the throne last week.
