What to watch on Netflix in 2020

At a time when where Latin music is still in high demand worldwide, new artists keep rising -- and for that reason, our editors have gathered a group of 15 talented new Latin artists to keep an eye on this year.

Variety has unveiled its sixth edition of 10 Europeans to Watch, spotlighting 10 rising talents from across the continent who are poised for breakthroughs in 2020. The selection includes emerging actors, directors, writers and producers. The group will be feted at the upcoming Berlin Film Festival. They are:

The culmination of awards season is upon us! The 2020 Oscars are all set to take place on Feb. 9, 2020 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, where stars will be walking the red carpet and vying for that gold statuette. Oscar nominations were announced on Jan. 13, which was full of snubs and surprises — including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Taron Egerton, (as well as the acclaimed film's star, Awkwafina) and being locked out.

Now that the Golden Globes ceremony has come and gone, film fans can look forward to the Oscars as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announces the nominations for the 92nd annual awards show on Monday. This year’s selections will be revealed via global livestream from the Oscars’ official websites Oscars.com and Oscars.org, as well as the Academy’s social media channels. The announcement will begin at 5:18 a.m. PT/8:18 a.m. ET.

The 77th Golden Globe Awards are here, and with Ricky Gervais returning to host for the fifth (and supposedly final) time we can probably expect the acerbic host to be even more merciless than usual.
