Long before Euphoria students were partying hard, Skins characters were laying the groundwork with their wild antics – although, granted, the makeup looks were nowhere near as cool. In today’s News That Will Make You Feel Old™, the show has just celebrated the 15th anniversary of first airing on E4, both entertaining and traumatising us with the (at times dark) teen drama antics. So what are the cast up to more than a decade later, and how much have they changed since their Skins days? Here’s where they are now (*warning: contains show spoilers!).
Kaya Scodelario – Effy Stonem One of TV’s most infamous party girls, Effy easily played a large part in why we all wore so much smudgy black eyeliner in the 00s. Actress Kaya Scodelario went on to appear in a number of Hollywood films, including the Maze Runner and Pirates of the Caribbean series. At just 14 when she was cast as one of the show’s biggest characters, Kaya is now a mum of two and about to turn 30, but she’s barely aged in that time.
Although she’s ditched the “lived-in” makeup look, her hair remains the same signature dark brunette shade. Hannah Murray – Cassie Ainsworth Troubled teen Cassie was recognisable for her beachy blonde hair during her time on Skins, but these days Hannah Murray prefers an auburn or brunette hue when it comes to her hair colour. Most notably Hannah went on to start as Gilly in HBO’s Game of Thrones as well as a number of film appearances.
