Love Island contestants have their mobile phones taken off them as soon as they jet off to Mallorca, but they receive a special phone to use during their time in the villa. The devices are mainly used for producers to contact Islanders, and are set up so that they cannot contact anyone in the outside world or browse the internet.
They can also text each other but many simply use their villa phones to snap selfies and take fun videos. However, it's now been revealed that many don't get to see their pictures after the show is finished as they don't get to keep their smartphones.

Sam Thompson has convinced fans that he is heading into the Love Island villa after he shared that he was travelling to Majorca on Monday.The 29 year old documented himself jetting off to where the ITV dating series is set on Instagram Stories as he posted snaps of his Dior travel bag and boarding pass on a plane as it flew out of the country.
