Plans to re-open the railway between Dumfries and Stranraer are back on the agenda.
The proposal to bring back the Paddy Line – popular before the Beeching cuts closed it in the 1960s – were included in the latest version of the South West Scotland Transport Study.
The original line included stops in Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie and Kirkcudbright so we asked people at the TLC Cafe in Castle Douglas Parish Church Hall if they’d welcome the return of the line.
