Emmerdale recently, as Amy’s son – and Matty’s step-brother, which is kind of confusing but this is Emmerdale – Kyle (Huey Quinn) has had a custodial sentence hanging over him following his shooting of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). Cain (Jeff Hordley) took the blame for the killing initially and was jailed, but Moira (Natalie J. Robb) and Amy soon discovered that it was young Kyle who’d pulled the trigger.
While they were prepared to do whatever it took to keep Kyle safe, Matty was often at odds with them as he worried about the effect keeping the secret was having on the boy’s mental health. For a while Amy ended things with Matty, leaving him devastated, but they reunited. In fact Ash Palmisciano has previously said that he thinks Amy and Matty are ‘soulmates.
’‘They make such a sweet couple, and she is such a good support to him. I do think they are soulmates, and they have each other’s best interests at heart, but you never know,’ he said in July last year. So in upcoming episodes Matty is delighted when Amy unexpectedly proposes to him.
It’s exciting news and we do love a good Emmerdale wedding, but it may be a tad too early to start shopping for wedding outfits. As Matty imparts the good news to his mum Moira, she notices that he doesn’t look as happy as he should be about the engagement and eventually he reveals why. He says that he suspects Amy only proposed because being part of a married couple is a better situation for her when it comes to trying to get sole custody of Kyle.

Hugh Grant wasn't thrilled by his chat with ABC’s co-hostAshley Graham, or her line of questioning ahead of Sunday's 95th Oscars. While chatting with Graham outside the Dolby Theatre ahead of the big show, Grant seemed to get increasingly irritated throughout the conversation, and really didn't want to engage at all. When asked what he's wearing — a fairly normal red carpet question — Grant simply said, «Just my suit.» He was equally terse when asked who he was rooting for, responding, «No one in particular.»Graham tried to turn things around, asking about his highly talked-about cameo in , but it was to no avail, with Grant simply responding, «Well, I'm barely in it. I’m in for about three seconds.»The cringey exchange came to an end with one final uncomfortable moment when, after asking a final question and getting nothing in return, Graham said, «Well, OK, it was nice to talk to you.»«Yeah,» Grant said, seemingly rolling his eyes as he handed back the mic.I'm Hugh Grant all night with the Oscars & award shows in general nowadays.
