Sure, heels can be comfortable to a degree — but almost every pair of pumps we own simply isn’t designed for all-day wear. Eventually, our feet inevitably get tired and we swap out those bad boys for something far comfier.
But not every pair of heels has to be this way, and these sandals from SOREL are fashion-forward proof! We’re officially dubbing them the comfiest heel for the spring and summer months. They offer up all of the supportive features needed to make them wearable for long periods of time.

These sandals are certainly not your typical heels. They have a sportier aesthetic, but the design still allows them to team effortlessly well with dresses and skirts. If you’re getting ready for a night out, these heels will look chic with a sleek bodycon style! We adore the extra deep ridges on the bottom of the shoes, not to mention the color-blocking you see throughout the footwear.
There’s a break between the front platform and the heel, which is a key detail, as this makes them more flexible and easier to walk in. They have a slingback strap on the ankle and two additional straps over the toes to keep them securely stationed on your feet. The thicker sole and slight lift in the back of the shoe provides both arch support and shock absorption, which further emphasizes how comfortable they are. There isn’t a single element on this shoe which hasn’t been considered, and these details combine together to create one seriously savvy sandal!

Marc Malkin Senior Film Awards, Events & Lifestyle Editor Seth Rogen hopes Hollywood will redeem itself with Universal Pictures’ new animated “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” Rogen, who voices Donkey Kong in the adaptation of the popular video game series, tells Variety at the film’s premiere, “When I was 11, I saw the original ‘Mario Bros.’ movie and I was so excited. But it’s one of the worst films ever made. I was so disappointed. I think it made me realize that movies, like, could be bad. That never occurred to me until that moment. “It really bummed me out,” he continues. “It’s nice to vindicate that moment. It’s nice to know that 11-year-olds out there that they won’t be disappointed in the same way that I was.”

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Tanya Tucker did not let much time slip away after the Country Music Hall of Fame announced her impending induction this week before coming out with an announcement of her own: She has a second album produced by the team of Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings coming soon, following up on a celebrated previous effort that earned Tucker her first two Grammy Awards. The album “Sweet Western Sound” will be out June 2 on Fantasy. A teaser track from the record, “Kindness” is out now. The song was written by Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroth. The collection reunites the team that made Tucker’s comeback album, “While I’m Livin’,” a 2019 set that got the singer a Grammys for best country album, and its closing track, “Bring My Flowers Now,” which won best country song.
Chris Frantz Sire Records co-founder Seymour Stein was indisputably one of the greatest music executives of all time, with a career that spanned six decades and a rare ear for talent that led Madonna, Talking Heads, Lou Reed, Ice-T, Depeche Mode, the Pretenders, the Smiths, and many others to his label. Stein, who died on April 2 at the age of 80, is remembered here by Chris Frantz, drummer of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, who, with Tina Weymouth (now his wife), Jerry Harrison and of course David Byrne, signed with the label late in 1976. Seymour told this story many times. His first visit to CBGB’s on the Bowery was to see the Ramones. His wife Linda insisted that he see them because they were something new and fabulous and she thought he should sign them, which he did. He was standing outside the club on the sidewalk speaking with [Patti Smith’s longtime guitarist] Lenny Kaye, waiting for Ramones to go on when he heard the support band begin to play. “When my love stands next to your love….”
