Michelle Heaton has candidly documented her journey before and after getting her breast implants replaced in moving video diary. The former Liberty X star, 42, discovered her breast implants, which she had put in after having a double-mastectomy 10 years ago, had ruptured in December after "worried" fans contacted her following the publication of an OK! photoshoot. In this Tuesday's new magazine, a delighted Michelle will reveal the results of her surgery and tell all on the process.
And during the journey to have the ruptured implants removed, Michelle documented her thoughts and feelings in a moving and honest video diary – which she has now shared exclusively with OK!. Speaking in the first clip, which you can watch above, Michelle explains how she took action after fans saw her breasts were "misshapen".
In a clip recorded in January, Michelle explains: "It's confirmed that they're capitulating and leaking inside after a scan and that's as far as I've got so far." In another video captured weeks later, Michelle explains she had a consultation on Zoom with her surgeon, who presented her with two options. "He says that he has to either skin graft," she says.
"Which would mean lots of skin from my back and put around, which I really don't want that. I feel like I've just had a lot of scars and surgeries that I don't want to go down that route.
"The other alternative is to find some fat from somewhere, which sounds great right? Get rid of some fat. But, it's not that straight-forward and I have lost a lot of weight since getting sober, which might prove problematic but that's where I'm at at the moment." In a later clip, filmed by Michelle on 27 January, she reveals she has an operation date, which is Saturday 5 February.
