Foo Fighters have announced a handful of 2024 US tour dates with Nova Twins serving as opening support.The new dates that have been added are part of Dave Grohl and co.’s forthcoming ‘Everything or Nothing at All’ Tour which is set to kick off in May of next year.The newly announced dates will take place on May 1, 2024 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas followed by the Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Raleigh, North Carolina on May 7 and the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 9.Tickets for the newly added dates will go on sale on Thursday, December 14 at 10am local time. Ed Sheeran has made a surprise appearance with The Darkness, playing a surprise opening set and later joining them to perform their song ‘Love Is Only A Feeling’ – watch the footage below.The global popstar has had a long relationship with The Darkness. Sheeran previously confessed his intentions to take Taylor Swift to the Suffolk band’s show: “I think she’d really dig The Darkness.” Meanwhile, the band opened for Sheeran on the UK leg of the 2019 ‘Divide Tour’ along with James Bay and Zara Larsson.Now, Sheeran has repaid the favour by performing a surprise opening set for the band’s show at London’s Roundhouse last night (December 9). According to website setlist.fm, Sheeran played six of his megahits, including his mashup of ‘Don’t’ (from 2014 album ‘x‘) and Blackstreet‘s ‘No Diggity’.

Slash, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and Myles Kennedy have covered Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Simple Man’ with Warren Haynes’ band Gov’t Mule at Haynes’ 2023 Christmas Jam.On Saturday (December 9), Slash, Gibbons and Kennedy joined Haynes’ band for the nearly 10-minute rendition of the Skynyrd classic as the last song of Slash and Kennedy’s set during the concert. Dave Grohl spent his day off on Foo Fighters‘ current Australia tour helping to feed the homeless.Grohl volunteered with the Melbourne-based charity The Big Umbrella Foundation on Friday (December 8), per News.au, treating people in need to “an epic American style BBQ with all the trimmings.” Impressively, he was due to fly to Sydney not long afterwards.The organisation shared a post to their Instagram of Grohl to the BBQ, accompanied by a caption telling the story of how he came to work with them.““It will be a day ‘our friends on the streets’ will never forget as they brushed up against a rock legend and one of the nicest guys on the planet who genuinely cares for people in need. No words can fully capture the impact of this positive experience,” they began.“Dave and his mates… spent 18 hours preparing and lovingly smoking 120kgs of pork ribs, pork butt and beef brisket before delivering it to MG’s kitchen the next morning.
