An emotional Billie Eilish broke down at the 2020 BRIT Awards on Tuesday evening after admitting social media trolls had made her 'feel hated.'

(CNN) — The 2020 BRIT Awards were presented Tuesday at the O2 Arena in London. British comedian Jack Whitehall hosted as performers like Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi and Lizzo took the stage.

The 2020 BRIT Awards took place tonight (February 18) at London’s O2 Arena. Among the winners were Neneh Cherry’s daughter Mabel, Foals, Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, and Tyler, the Creator, who thanked Theresa May in his speech. Check out the full list of winners below.

Lizzo stole the show as she arrived at the Brit Awards in a dress modelled on a Hershey's chocolate wrapper at the event in London where Scots star Lewis Capaldi is expected to be the big winner.

Billie Eilish looks set to not only score her first UK Number 1 single on Friday, but also become only the second act in history to reach Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with a Bond theme, as No Time To Die heads for the top of this week’s chart. 18 year-old US singer Billie is the youngest artist to record a Bond theme and is due to perform the new track at Tuesday night’s BRIT Awards ceremony in London. Billie Eilish and her brother and co-producer Finneas took the the stage at the 2020 Academy Awards earlier this evening to perform a cover of The Beatles' "Yesterdy" as part of the annual In Memoriam segment celebrating the lives of iconic film stars who passed away over the past year. This year, the segment paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, Rip Torn, Doris Day, and Agnès Varda, among others.

It was indeed a surprise appearance for Swifties when Taylor Swift made a gorgeous, surprise appearance at the 2020 NME Awards at the O2 Academy Brixton in London. The UK is especially of prime importance for the singer as her boyfriend and actor Joe Alwyn resides there and was Taylor's plus one at the award ceremony. Swift was honoured with the Best Solo Act award, as she beat Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Beck, Charli XCX, FKA twigs, Lana Del Rey and Yungblud.
