Warner Max: Warner Bros. Pictures Group & HBO Max Announce Feature Production Arm For Upcoming Streaming Service

Dee Dee Myers will exit her post at Warner Bros as executive vp of worldwide corporate communications and public affairs. Myers joined Hollywood from the world of politics, previously serving as the White House press secretary to Bill Clinton.

HBO Max's reunion is officially a go! 

David Stouck has been named regional director, A&R at Warner Music Asia, the company was announced Friday (Feb. 21). In his new role, he will oversee A&R operations in 10 markets: China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.  

HBO Max has given out a pilot order to the comedy “Minx,” Variety has learned.

Even at AT&T's WarnerMedia, home to HBO and Game of Thrones, cable is no longer king.As WarnerMedia prepares to launch its streaming service HBO Max in May, the company has shifted resources from its cable networks to invest in online originals.

Family entertainment specialist CAKE has signed a worldwide deal for an animated series based on streaming sensation “Lucas the Spider.” Partnering with Warner Bros. subsidiaries Cartoon Network and Boomerang, CAKE will handle international distribution for the show, which has a planned season order of 78 seven-minute instalments.

As production began Thursday night in Stamford, Conn., on the new HBO Max ballroom voguing competition series “Legendary,” producers confirmed the role of “The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil on the show.
