‘The Dead Don’t Hurt’ Review: Viggo Mortensen Stars, Writes, Directs, Produces, And Composes Music For This Uniquely Fine Western But Vicky Krieps Is Its Soul – Toronto Film Festival

The western genre has been so pervasive throughout the entire history of the movies, and it is hard to imagine doing anything in it that hasn’t already been done. Viggo Mortensen, in writing, directing, producing, and co-starring in only his second film behind the camera (after 2020’s Falling) finds a moving, if tragic, love story to play against the stunning landscape of the circa 1860’s west, and somehow it all feels new. John Ford and Howard Hawks would love this movie.

‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ With Norman Reedus Is a Welcome, if Mostly Carol-Less, Addition to the Franchise: TV Review

Jessica Liese If the first “Walking Dead” spinoff following the finale of the flagship series, “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” seemed to mark the beginning of a new era for the franchise, the second certainly feels like a continuation — tonally, if not chronologically. “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” which premieres on AMC on Sept. 10, builds on the tentative good will established by “Dead City,” even arguably improving on some of its strengths.

‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ first reviews draw comparisons to ‘The Last Of Us’

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has received mostly positive reactions in first reviews, despite its clear similarities with The Last Of Us.Norman Reedus returns in the second post-Walking Dead spin-off following Dead City, which centred around Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which has already been renewed for a second season, the character finds himself escorting a young girl who might be humanity’s saviour across post-apocalyptic France. The premise echoes the Joel and Ellie dynamic of HBO’s The Last Of Us. While reviews from critics do highlight some differences between the two shows, the comparison is repeatedly noted as a potential sticking point.“While this spin-off is often derivative, with some moments becoming almost comical in how much they feel like The Last Of Us-lite, Daryl himself is a study foundation to build from,” Collider writes, giving the show a ‘B’ rating.

Women get in porta-potty brawl at Morgan Wallen concert: ‘Hoping for swirly’

viral video of the brawl posted to social media starts with a woman in a white knit cardigan seemingly guarding a portable stall, which upsets a woman in a pink fringe top. It’s unclear why exactly they are so angry as they shove and push each other until they fall into an open John — just as an innocent potty-goer rushes out of it. Two more women — seemingly one on each team — enter the fight as the white cardigan fan’s head appears to be inches away from the unsanitary toilet seat.

Gene Maddaus Senior Media Writer SAG-AFTRA has granted approval for three AMC Networks shows to restart production, under its controversial provision allowing “independent” projects to continue despite the strike. The shows include “Interview With the Vampire,” which was shooting in Prague when the strike started, and two “Walking Dead” spinoffs: “The Ones Who Live” and “Daryl Dixon.” The latter project was on hiatus and can resume shooting in France.
