Caroline Polachek has announced a UK and European headline tour for later this year – tickets will be available here.The former Chairlift frontwoman will hit the road in October in support of her debut solo album ‘Pang’, which came out in 2019.Kicking off on October 16 in Berlin, the stint will also include performances in Hamburg (October 17), Paris (21), Amsterdam (24) and other European cities before Polachek’s UK leg commences in Brighton on October 27.Further dates are scheduled for Leeds (28), Manchester (29) and Bristol on November 1. Additionally, Polachek will perform a Halloween show at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on October 31.French performer and producer Oklou – who remixed Polachek’s single ‘Door’ in 2020 – will appear as the opening support act.Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST next Friday (May 20) – you can purchase yours from here.
Vivendi’s First Quarter Results Rise by 13.4%, Driven by Canal Plus Group

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentVivendi, the parent company of French pay TV company Canal Plus Group and advertising banner Havas Group, saw its revenues increase by 13.4% to €2.3 billion ($2.4 billion) during the first quarter of 2022.The company’s financial results were mainly driven by the growth of Canal Plus Group, Havas Group, as well the Vivendi Village, which is behind live events, and the video game outfit Gameloft. Results also took into account Prisma Media, the recently acquired publishing group.
During the first quarter of 2022? Canal Plus Group’s revenues reached €1.4 billion ($1.5 billion), a 6.5-percent year-on increase. Revenues from television in mainland France and international operations went up by 6.5% and 6.2%, respectively.
Studiocanal, the TV and film banner, saw its revenues rise by 4.5% in one year, thanks to the performance of a few movies such as “Superwho?,” “Waiting for Bojangles” and “Goliath,” as well as a large volume of library sales. Canal Plus Group and ViacomCBS recently inked a long-term strategic partnership which will allow the pay TV group to distribute Paramount+ as part of its hard bundle by the end of the year, along with nine ViacomCBS channels.
