Victoria Beckham's alleged "anger" over Meghan Markle's wedding has been revisited in a revealing new book about the former Spice Girl and her husband David Beckham.
The House of Beckham by Tom Bower scrutinises David's romance with wife Victoria, detailing the highs and lows of their decades-long marriage alongside claims about their relationship with Meghan and her husband Prince Harry.
The former England captain, 49, and Posh Spice, 50, were guests at both Prince William's 2011 wedding to Kate Middleton and Harry and Meghan's nuptials in 2018. However, according to The House of Beckham, Posh felt "insulted" by not being invited to the Sussexes' wedding dinner.
In his book, Bower writes that "Meghan had not invited them to the wedding dinner" and Victoria considered this an "insult" as "many guests such as George Clooney and other Hollywood stars invited that evening did not even know Meghan".
Bower points to photos of a "stony-faced" Victoria arriving at St George's Chapel for the wedding as evidence of her sour mood. The author also claims Victoria's expression was in part due to David's behaviour at a party the previous evening, writing: "He had been buying drinks for a brunette while Victoria sat silently thunderous nearby. Worse still, that very morning the woman had posted photos of herself and Beckham on the web.", reports the Mirror.
The friendship between the Beckhams and the Sussexes has reportedly been strained for some time. The Beckhams were said to have maintained a friendly relationship with Harry when he began dating Meghan, even going as far as to make her feel welcome in the UK.
Victoria Beckham was reported to have shared her favourite hairdressers and stylists in London with Meghan.

Prince William and Prince Harry may be in line for the throne, but there's one thing they'll never inherit - their mother Princess Diana's childhood home. The Althorp Estate, which has been in the Spencer family since 1508, will instead go to their cousin Louis, son of Earl Spencer, Diana's brother Charles. Despite having three older sisters, 30-year-old Viscount Althorp, Louis, will inherit the estate due to the aristocracy's system of primogeniture, where titles are passed down to the oldest boy, not the firstborn child. The sprawling 13,500-acre estate is where Diana spent her childhood and was laid to rest after her tragic death in 1997.
