A new documentary is set to expose an American megachurch that was a hotspot for Christian celebrities including Justin Bieber. After his early rise to fame, Bieber turned to Hillsong New York City (the first American branch of the Australian megachurch) and its senior pastor and co-founder Carl Lentz. He wasn’t the only one to do so, as the church famously helped the likes of Chris Pratt and Selena Gomez too, and Hillsong even had its own record label.

Yard Act made their US TV debut last night (March 24) with an electrifying performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – watch it below.The Leeds band played the title track from their acclaimed debut record ‘The Overload’, which hit Number Two in the UK albums chart upon its release in January.Appearing live in Fallon’s studio in New York City, Yard Act delivered an energetic take on the song as their circular black-and-white logo spun behind them. The documentary spotlights a matriarchal society upended by centuries of genocide and colonialism, which has disenfranchised the women and simultaneously reinforced their roles as the backbones of their communities and the keepers of their people’s ancient wisdom.
