Variety Reporter Responds to Kim Kardashian's Claim That Her Quote Was Taken Out of Context

Kim Kardashian faced a ton of backlash recently for something she said in an interview with Variety and she just followed up by saying her quote was taken out of context.

Kim said in the original interview, “I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f–king ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
This comment received tons of backlash from women around the world who work hours and hours every day to support themselves and their families, who can only dream about reaching the level of success as someone like Kim.
A former Kardashians app editor went viral when she reacted to the quotes, revealing that she worked days, nights, and weekends for the family and could only afford groceries from the 99 Cents Only Store.
Kim was also asked in the interview about her thoughts on people who say she’s only famous for being famous.
“Who gives a f–k,” she said. “We focus on the positive. We work our asses off. If that’s what you think, then sorry. We just don’t have the energy for that. We don’t have to sing or dance or act; we get to live our lives — and hey, we made it. I don’t know what to tell you.”
In an interview with Good Morning America on Monday (March 28), Kim said that she was taken out of context.
“That statement that I said was without questions and conversations around it.
