Val Kilmer Reveals Why He Only Starred In One Batman Movie

That plan changed, though, due to his kids, Jack, 24, and Mercedes, 28, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Joanne Whalley.

Val Kilmer is opening up about an incorporeal experience he claims he endured involving a dark angel who once ripped his heart out. The "Top Gun" star has formerly described himself as a Christian Scientist who has turned to faith in his darkest times, including his battle with throat cancer.

In his new memoir, I’m Your Huckleberry, Val Kilmer reveals new details about his personal life and past romances with stars such as Cher, Daryl Hannah and  Angelina Jolie . In his book, Val admits that he wanted to kiss Angelina Jolie before they starred in the 2004 film Alexander, and he “couldn‘t wait to kiss her” when they were on set together. At the time, the Hollywood star had recently separated from her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton.

Val Kilmer is telling all in his new memoir, I’m A Huckleberry — including how he met Angelina Jolie, and what it was like working with her on the film, Alexander. “I always say, she’s like other women and other superstars, but just more,” Val wrote. “More gorgeous. More wise. More tragic. More magic. More grounded. Is it worth it? Worth knowing people who require weeks of effort to understand even a little? Yes.”
