Girl In Red has signed a new record deal with Columbia Records.The Norwegian artist, real name Marie Ulven, previously released music through a worldwide recordings deal with AWAL (Artists Without A Label), a company which offers independent musicians an alternative to working with a traditional record label.Following the success of her April 2021 debut album ‘If I Could Make It Go Quiet’, Ulven has now signed to Columbia for her future releases.The label confirmed the news to Variety yesterday (February 15), though neither Columbia or Girl In Red have officially announced the signing at the time of writing.Speaking to NME at Reading Festival back in August, Ulven confirmed that she was working on new Girl In Red material.“I’m already working on new stuff, I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen,” she said, before reiterating that she isn’t interested in releasing singles at the moment.“I still don’t think singles are that interesting. I honestly don’t even know at this point,” Ulven continued.

Salma Hayek has signed a first-look deal with Univision for its recently announced streaming platform, ViX. Under the 2-year deal, Hayek, through her production company Ventana Rosa, will produce exclusive Spanish-language feature films.

Naomi Campbell opened up about motherhood as she gave fans a first look at her baby girl for British Vogue's most recent cover. Campbell, 51, stunned fans when she revealed she had welcomed a baby girl into her family last May.  The supermodel didn't give many details about her daughter at the time. "She wasn't adopted — she's my child," Campbell told British Vogue about her nine-month-old daughter in the March cover issue.

Netflix trailer showing its forthcoming big movies of 2022 has revealed a first look at the cast of Rian Johnson’s Knives Out 2.The clip, which you view below, sees the star studded line-up which includes Daniel Craig, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick and Ethan Hawke boarding a yacht.The streaming service has acquired the rights to the next two Knives Out films in a deal reportedly worth $450 million (£327 million).Johnson’s original 2019 film was a massive box office success, earning $311.4 million (£226 million) on a $40 million (£29 million) budget.The trailer also features the Russo brothers’ The Gray Man starring Ryan Gosling and the Jamie Foxx vampire movie Day Shift.The clip includes actors directly addressing the camera while in character.

K.J. Yossman “Gentleman Jack,” the Sally Wainwright period drama starring Suranne Jones, has released the first images from upcoming season 2.Set in 1834 in Yorkshire, the show sees Jones star as Anne Lister, a convention-busting Victorian woman who embarks on a lesbian relationship with Ann Walker (played by Sophie Rundle, pictured above with Jones).In Season 2, the women, now married, set up home with the intention of becoming a local power couple.“Anne Lister’s entrepreneurial spirit frightens the locals as much as her unconventional love life and, with Halifax on the brink of revolution, her refusal to keep a low profile becomes provocative and dangerous,” reads the logline.As well as Jones and Rundle, returning for season 2 are Gemma Whelan as Marian Lister, Lydia Leonard as Mariana Lawton, Gemma Jones as Aunt Anne Lister, and Timothy West as Jeremy Lister.
