Two women were arrested after a handgun and ammunition were uncovered at a house in Moss Side. Police raided the home along Caythorpe Street on Tuesday (May 7) when they made the discovery.
The suspects, aged 24 and 54 were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition, as the weapon was seized amid the ongoing investigation.
Both women remain in custody at this time to be questioned by detectives, Greater Manchester Police said.
