Two men arrested as police uncover cannabis farm in early hours

Two men have been arrested after police uncovered a cannabis farm in Tameside.
Officers were called to the scene on Market Street in Denton at around 12.30am this morning (Tuesday). Crime scene investigators were also pictured outside a property.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said 150 cannabis plants were discovered. Two men - aged 27 and 29 - were arrested.

Both are now in custody to be questioned on suspicion of producing a controlled Class B drug and abstracting electricity. Enquiries are ongoing, the force added.
One police van and one CSI van was spotted on Market Street this morning. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "At around 12.30am on Tuesday 5 July 2022 police were called to reports of a cannabis farm at an address on Market Street, Denton.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered around 150 cannabis plants. Two males, aged 27 and 29 were arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled Class B drug and abstracting electricity.
"Both remain in custody at this moment in time. Enquiries are ongoing."
