Two people have appeared in court charged with murdering Glasgow grandad Brian Maley.
The 52-year-old’s body was discovered on Tuesday, February 8, inside his Young Terrace home in the Springburn area of the city.
Police later launched a murder investigation following the results of post mortem.
Maria Gardiner and James Houston appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday where they made no plea.
Gardiner, 45, and Houston, 33, were remanded in custody with the case fully committed for further examination.
The pair are due to reappear within eight days
The pair, from Glasgow, also face charges of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, earlier said: “Our thoughts remain with Brian’s family at what continues to be a difficult time for them.
“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience, help and assistance during our investigation and to those who came forward with information."
