Twitter Has Some THOUGHTS About Jennifer Lopez's Golden Globes Gown

The Oscar nominations are finally out and, as always, there are some strong feelings about who did or did not receive a nom from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Actors Issa Rae and John Cho were on hand to deliver the news this morning, and fans were furious that Jennifer Lopez wasn't recognized for her work in Hustlers.

Jennifer Lopez is always looking flawless, and that’s especially true during awards season. The Hustlers star has been hitting the red carpets and has yet to disappoint in terms of her look. She recently stepped out on the Golden Globes red carpet on January 5 for the 77th installment of the show — and obviously looked incredible.

The Golden Globes is one of the most glitzy events of the year, with a whole host of famous faces arriving on the red carpet in all their finery and splendour.

The 2020 Golden Globes took place last night at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, and, as usual, it was a strange night of left-field wins, rousing speeches, and wonderful opportunities to see TV stars and film star rub shoulders for pretty much the only time in the year. There were some, but not many, surprises: Beyoncé lost Best Original Song to Elton John, while Laura Dern triumphed over Jennifer Lopez’s instantly iconic Hustlers role.

Jennifer Lopez started the Golden Globes in a jaw-dropping bow dress and ended it in a completely different but just as elaborate after party look. The singer went for '60s Bond girl vibes in a long-sleeved white lace dress with two high leg slits in the front.

Still a winner in his eyes. Jennifer Lopez didn’t take home the trophy at the 2020 Golden Globes, but Alex Rodriguez wouldn’t know the difference. The athlete, 44, took to Instagram after the awards show to pen a message to his fiancée.

A lot of people expected Jennifer Lopez to win the Golden Globe last night, and lord knows she arrived looking like a winner—by which I mean a festive Christmas present. Sadly, J.Lo didn't take home an award, but I'm gonna go ahead and say that the note Alex Rodriguez wrote her on Instagram was worth 1,000 Golden Globes (no offense to the Hollywood Foreign Press, you're cool too).

Laura Dern won the Best Supporting Actress at the 77th Golden Globe Awards over Jennifer Lopez and the internet was not having it. Granted, Laura Dern is a damn legend, and her turn in Netflix's Marriage Story was pretty satisfying.
