TV icon Moira Stuart reportedly "collapsed" while attending Angela Rippon's end of Strictly Come Dancing party, and an ambulance is said to have been called for the star. According to reports, the British presenter and broadcaster, 74, "fell to the floor" out of nowhere, while the shindig was in full swing. As the star appeared to fall ill unexpectedly, fellow guests at the Revery Bar inside the Hilton Hotel on London's Park Lane rushed to her aid.
These included former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin and Michael Buerk, while others dialled 999 and asked for an ambulance "just in case" Moira's condition deteriorated. Thankfully, the star managed to recover, and was later pictured getting into a taxi and heading home of her own accord. But for a moment, partygoers were scared for newsreader Moira's welfare.
“It all happened very quickly and out of nowhere, Moira, who was standing at the bar, had fallen to the floor," a source told The Sun. “She was looked after by Louise and Michael and an ambulance was called just in case," the insider went on, explaining that Moira had taken a "funny turn" at the 'do. As the scene progressed, staff at the swanky hotel immediately cleared the room and were said to be "quick" to help the poorly guest.
According to the source, it was "scary at the time" when Moira collapsed to the ground, but everyone was relieved when she had a speedy recovery. OK! contacted a representative for Moira for comment.
They clarified that the star has recovered and the scary incident was thankfully brief, saying: "Moira was feeling unwell at the party. It was very hot and packed with so many people wanting to talk to her.
