Tribeca Partners With Walmart to Expand Drive-In Series (Exclusive)

Who is Betty White? That is "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek’s answer to the question he has increasingly received during his battle with pancreatic cancer. The 79-year-old, who will turn 80 on Wednesday, said as much during an interview with “Good Morning America,” telling the program that because the audience has wanted his successor to be younger, he’s going the opposite way and appointing the 98-year-old pop culture icon to host the beloved quiz show.

Alex Trebek opened up about an emotional decision regarding his cancer treatment in his new memoir The Answer Is...: Reflections of My Life,released Tuesday. The longtime Jeopardy!game show host, who is undergoing an experimental immunotherapy treatment following his stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis, writes that he has decided to cease all treatment should his current protocol fail.

Jeopardy! was one of the many television shows to shut down production as the coronavirus pandemic swept over the nation.

Although, Alex did amend his statement to say, “maybe I’ll crawl away” from the show.

As Alex Trebek continues to battle pancreatic cancer, he’s thinking of his loved ones who have supported him along the way.
