Officials have opted for country officials to investigate the incident at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas that left ten people dead and many more injured. Officials previously called for an independent investigation to run in tandem with the Houston Police Department's investigation into the incident in an effort to avoid any conflicts of interest and ensure that the families of the victims get the answers they're looking for.

Eight people between the ages of 14 and 27 died and hundreds were injured during Friday night's event at NRG Field in Houston.
