TOWIE star Pete Wicks has revealed his devastation after his beloved grandmother and "best friend" Doreen has passed away. The 33 year old Essex lad showed off an uncharacteristically soft side as he paid tribute to his nan. He shared a number of photos with her: One of the two of them smiling together in happier times, and another of Pete holding her hand as she was in a hospital bed.The second image showed off heavily-inked Pete’s tattoo of his beloved nan’s name on his hand.
In his heartbreaking caption, he wrote: “Despite knowing this time would always come it doesn’t make it any easier. It’s taken me days not knowing what to say because no words will ever be able to describe what you meant to me." "My heart is broken and I have never felt so lost. I have been blessed to have you as my nan but more importantly to have you as my best friend." I hope you knew how much you were loved.
Pete ended the note declaring his love for his grandmother, writing: “Sleep well and be at peace, no one deserves it more. I love you.” Pete’s celebrity friends flocked to comment on his post and to send him their well wishes. Made in Chelsea’s Ollie Proudlock wrote: “Love to you and fam my bro.” Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby commented: “So sorry Pete I can’t even think about the pain you must be feeling now”.
