Tom Parker's health reportedly "deteriorated rapidly" in the days before his death.
The Wanted singer tragically died yesterday at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer glioblastoma.
The father-of-two missed the first leg of The Wanted's tour after undergoing specialist cancer treatment in Spain, but friends admitted his health was deteriorating by the end of the tour.
Tom's last performance with The Wanted was in Liverpool on March 17, two weeks before his death.
The singer was too frail to sing during some of the performance and could be seen sitting on a throne as he joined Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George and Jay McGuiness during the show, reports The Mirror.
A family friend has said that Tom's condition got worse following the end of the tour.
They told The Sun : "Tom loved touring - he was an absolute rockstar and determined to join the boys on stage. He was enjoying playing two songs a night and was doing well performing but it really took it out of him.
"We all noticed how quickly Tom deteriorated during the tour but he had no regrets - he really wanted to do it."
Tom's tragic passing was announced yesterday by his wife Kelsey, with whom he shared two young children Aurelia and Bodhi.
She wrote on Instagram: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
"Our hearts are broken.
"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care
