Sir Tom Jones has his fellow The Voice judges in tears this series - as he dedicates an emotional performance to his late wife. His fellow judges - Anne-Marie and Olly Murs - have opened up about the emotional performance, which takes place sometime this series. The show is pre-recorded months in advance, with the pair admitting they got very teary through it and the Ciao Adios singer even had to walk off as she cried over the sweet tribute.
Tom was married to Linda until her sad death in 2016. She passed away at the age of 75 after a battle with lung cancer, understandably leaving her singer husband absolutely devastated. During the upcoming series of The Voice, he will pay tribute to his late wife, with fans needing tissues for the emotional performance.
"Tom sang one of his songs called Crumble, and I had to walk off. Not because it was bad, but because it was so emotional. I think this is a testament to him and why he's been able to stay around so long because he feels every word he says," Anne-Marie shared to The Mirror and other press of the emotional moment which fans will see in the new series.
"Every song he releases, he means it. He will sing that song and said this is to my wife and it just f***ed me up. "Olly added: "You could just see someone who loved his wife so much.
You could see that pain in his eyes. " Tom had previously admitted he would never love again following the death of his wife Linda. The couple had met when they were 12 years old on the way to school in Treforest, South Glamorgan and were married for nearly sixty years before her death.
