Tom Hardy Voted Most Difficult Actor for Americans to Understand

Jennifer Coolidge is fresh from shooting Season 2 of The White Lotus and she’s on a high. Having made such an indelible mark in Season 1 of Mike White’s limited series set in a luxury Hawaiian resort, she’s the only main character returning for a second shot. For now, she’s having to keep plot details under wraps, but she’s positive that it will be another hit: “It would be impossible to not like it,” she says. All we know is that Season 2 will see Coolidge, Emmy-nominated for her role, back as the tortured and grieving Tanya McQuoid alongside her terminally ill boyfriend Greg (Jon Gries). This time the setting is a Sicilian White Lotus resort, where they’ll be joined by such new cast members as Aubrey Plaza, F. Murray Abraham, Adam DiMarco and Tom Hollander. Austin Butler just played the legendary musician in the movie "Elvis" and will now star in director Jeff Nichols' next movie "The Bikeriders" with Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy.  According to Variety, "The Bikeriders" is named after the 1967 Danny Lyon photography book and "tells an original story about a '60s Midwestern motorcycle club as it evolves over the course of a decade from a community for outsiders into a far more sinister gang."  The movie has brought Sarah Green and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones onboard to produce with Fred Berger as the films executive producer. Peaky Blinders has been voted the most difficult show for American viewers to understand in a new poll.A survey carried out by Preply researched TV habits from those who use closed captioning or subtitles over hard-to-understand accents, with the gangster drama coming out on top as the most watched with subtitles.Preply surveyed 1200 people, who nodded to the post-WWI Birmingham-set series as posing the most comprehension problems for American viewers.The study found that 57 per cent of Americans admitted to using subtitles in order to better understand accents, on shows including Outlander, Derry Girls, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Bridgerton and Peaky Blinders.55 per cent of respondents said they find it harder to hear dialogue in shows today, while 50 per cent of Americans said they watch content with subtitles most of the time.Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy recently said he would be “as excited” as anyone to read a script for the Peaky Blinders film.“I’d be as excited as anybody to read a script. But I think it’s good for everyone to have a little break.
