Tina Knowles-Lawson and Richard Lawson are ending their marriage.
On Wednesday (July 26), Tina, 69, – who is the mother of Beyonce and Solange Knowles – filed for divorce from Richard after eight years of marriage.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Tina cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. She listed Tuesday, July 25, as the date of separation and is asking the court to restore her name to “Celestine Knowles.”
Tina and Richard married in 2015 after two years of dating and knowing each other for decades.
Tina was previously married to Beyonce and Solange‘s father Matthew Knowles from 1980 to 2011. Richard was married to Denise Gordy from 1978–1989, with whom he shares daughter Bianca Lawson. He is also dad to Ricky Lawson from a previous relationship.
Tina and Richard haven’t publicly addressed their split yet.
