Aldi is set to increase its pay for staff in stores by just over 3 per cent - making it one of the best paying supermarkets in the UK.
The changes to wages will come into force from February 1, but the increase workers receive will depend on where they work in the UK and how long they have been with the German discounter.
Aldi also pointed out that it is one of few supermarkets to pay staff during breaks.
Minimum hourly rates will rise by 3 per cent from £9.10 an hour to £9.40 for shop
