Like many makeup fanatics, we consider Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation a cult classic. The beloved formula is famed for its full-coverage, flawless matte finish. It also stays in place all day – at work, at the club, you name it. Saying that, as much as we love the stuff, it’s certainly not the cheapest.
A bottle of this bestselling foundation will set you back a whopping £35 – so it may end up being one you use sparingly or save for special occasions. However, according to one savvy shopper, Primark are selling a “dupe” for the high-end foundation – and it’s an absolute bargain at just £5. Posting to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the beauty lover shared a snap of Primark’s Double Coverage Matte Foundation, while telling her fellow users that it’s a “pretty good match” for the luxury original.
She wrote in the caption: “£5 Primark v £35 Estée Lauder. Pretty good match! “Just thought I would share. You're welcome.” The post attracted a lot of attention from shoppers in the group, with many leaving their thoughts in the comment section.
One person said, “I bought this today!! Heard good things so fingers crossed.” “Thanks for sharing this – will give it a try,” a second added. Another woman claimed she’s already a fan of Primark’s purse-friendly product and wrote in the comments: “I have these both and prefer Primark. I actually now wear the Estée Lauder one for casual makeup and the Primark one if I’m going out out.” Read More Related Articles Sign up for the BEST celebrity house tours and BIGGEST exclusive interviews According to Estée Lauder, Double Wear is “the #1 prestige foundation in the UK”.The foundation comes in 60 different shades and is sweat, heat, and humidity-resistant with “24
