Two people have been 'seriously injured' after an Audi hatchback with SIX people inside crashed into traffic lights on a slip road of the M60 motorway, police said today.

There was a 'carjacking' and a huge brawl involving 30 people on a quiet residential street in Bury this afternoon (Friday). Police were called to the corner of Brierly Street and Richmond Street, south of the town centre close to Holy Cross College, at around 12:15pm to reports of a large group fighting.
They immediately broke up and left the scene as officers arrived. It was then established that a 'carjacking' had taken place in the same area.
Two people reported 'being dragged out of their vehicle and assaulted, with an individual then driving off in their car', Greater Manchester Police (GMP). The victims were taken to hospital with injuries described by the force as "minor."

No one is said to have suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries in the incidents, which officers are understood to be treating as linked.
Police remain at the scene this evening. They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents or who may be able to help officers with their enquiries, to come forward.
A GMP spokesperson said: " A scene is in place whilst we conduct enquiries, and the vehicle has since been recovered. No arrests have been made as yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact us on 101 quoting log 1285 of 14/06/24."
